Wooden mirror with Roses

This lovely mirror I made for my friend as a wedding gift. I used a plain wooden mirror, painted with a cream acrylic paint and then I decoupaged the romantic paper napkin with roses. Finaly I covered  it with few layers of varnish to shine and protect.

Cute wooden set: hand mirror and hair brush

Today I am going to show you something different... yes, really, I make more than Easter Eggs…

So, today I am presenting this cute wooden set: matching hand mirror and hair brush. As usually, I painted it with a cream acrylic paint, and then I used a stamp with an old letter and butterflies motives. Finally I decoupaged my favourite rose motif on the back of both mirror and brush. (This is the same pattern I used here ))

In my opinion this set is very romantic, a little bit shabby chic and would look great on any dressing table.

Valentine's lantern (tealight holder)

Valentine's Day is coming and I decided to do something about it. So I have made this sweet, romantic lantern. I used glass lantern, handmade red rice paper, decorated with red hearts 4 (cut from paper napkins), I glued carefully everything (using Mod Podge ) and imposed a dimensional glaze to the hearts, which gave them a fantastic look. The lantern has got a sparkling effect by using an extra fine red glitter. It gives a beautiful warm glow when lit and creates romantic atmosphere.

update : if you like this tealight holder - I have just listed it on Folksy

Recently I have finished this charming golden egg. It is painted with a golden acrylic paint, decoupaged with lovely retro lady motif (using a Mod Podge of course) and decorated with golden dimensional paint. Wonderful effect of cracks on the lacquer I achieved using a two-component medium for cracks (by Italian company Stamperia)

Shabby chic romantic Easter Eggs

This are small wooden Easter Eggs I made last year. I used Cath Kidston motif and crackle medium to decoupage. Crackle is a decorative “antique” finish that can transform an ordinary object into an “antique” and I am delighted with the results.

Shabby chic romantic decoupage shelf

I recently decorated a romantic shelf for my sister. Previously it was an old, ugly shelf...

Decoupage

This blog is about my hobbies, passions and inspirations. I love the beautiful decorations in the home, particularly those that are handmade. They are unique in nature, adding originality and individuality in the home environment

Decoupage, especially Servietten Technique is a fantastic way of decorating, which I have been interested in for more than 3 years. I use paper napkins, beautiful papers, acrylic paints, and various types of preparations to give an antique appearance. I love distressed, retro, shabby chic, vintage style. Romantic, a little country, a little rustic look is what I like very

I hope  you enjoy what I show here
