Progress in tatting and new trinket box

With all my love to the past times, the beauty of Victorian era, decorations of our great-grandmothers – I think tatting and my decoupage pieces compose together very well.

I must confess that the tatting takes me a lot of time. A lot of patience too. But I love effects, so here I present my tatting progress:

I do not know who is the author of this pattern. I found this somewhere on the internet, if you know the author, please let me know.

This gorgeous trinket box I decorated using decoupage technique and finished with acrylic wax. This gives a  feeling and apperance of a wax varnish and is a water and heat resistant.

Trinket box with Sweet Violets

Today I am going to show you my new lilac trinket box .It was made from a paper-mache oval box. I painted it with lilac acrylic paint and then decorated with my favourite motif -Sweet Violets. I covered the box with few layers of glass glaze and decorated with golden pearl drops.
